What makes an ideal school environment

I was chatting with a schoolmate about the local ECE landscape and thought that it would be helpful to consolidate my thoughts on what I hope to advocate as a practitioner. Community of learners - Involve all members of the community in children's learning (people from school & people outside - stakeholders of what they are inquiring - culturally sensitive & authentic learning) - Foster a positive relationship among non-teaching staff & children & parents - Help parents appreciate their children as beings with autonomy who are deserving of respect and dignity and love - Empower parents to reflect on their parenting styles  - Advocate for parents to self-care  Management & Teachers - Open communication - Pool of ideas - Encourage creativity & autonomy for teachers Curriculum - Inquiry-based - RIE - 100 languages of children; Reggio documentation
